District Industries Centre Bathinda Office was setup in 1979 for providing services of central sponsored govt schemes to Industrial Units of the area.This office is situated at Mansa road near I.T.I chowk,Bathinda.The main objective of this department is to develop and promote industries in the Backward and Underdeveloped areas of Bathinda region. Various services like providing raw material, supply of machinery and equipment, marketing program quality centre and E.D.P training are provided by this department.

Setting up of Industries:-
MSME units of Bathinda district having F. C. I. less than 10 crore can register themselves in this office under any of one category i.e. manufacturing or services on the Indian Govt. portal under MSME Act, 2006.This department provides assistance to the units for registration on the UdyogAdhar.gov.in portal setup by Indian govt. in 2014.

Under the Industries development policy 2017 of Punjab Govt. an online portal http://Investpunjab.gov.in has beenset up to promote industry. Under this, Industrial units can register themselves on the Business first portal to avail different services and benefits like NOC, applications from different departments, Subsidy and other documents can be applied online through this online portal.

Development of Mega Portal:-
To develop mega projects in the rural area of region under the state government industrial policy 2017, a special package of incentives, rules and regulations relaxation has been promoted by the CM of Punjab.

Prime Minister Employment Generation Program(PMEGP):-
Under this scheme by Indian Govt., a loan assistance of rs. 25 Lac for manufacturing units for which minimum education requirement is 8th pass and Rs. 10 lac for service units for which minimum education is 5th pass has been provided to the units for their establishment. Regarding this from 2016 online applications are received, applied and transformed to the different Banks by this department through PMEGP Portal of Indian Govt. Various subsidy schemes are also provided under this which are as follows:-

Society Registration Act 1860:-
Any working committee of minimum 7 members and maximum up to 21 members working for social, welfare and development of society for last 3 years can register themselves as a society from this department under Society Act 1860 of the Indian constitution. Registration for new unit for ZED scheme on the online portal of http://www.Zed.org.in has been done by this office.
